Meet: Did not happen
Plan A and B went down the drain, either busy or just comms just stopped (I took a moment (like 3 mins) to reply after I was told kissing was not available when I asked and seems its possible they assumed I bailed out due to the pause,
) so went with plan C.
Comms started ok (sent pictures of the working girl), but it was clear they struggled with english, but got the "OK" after specifying duration.
After making my way there, running a bit late thanks to traffic and also the address I plugged into maps pointed at the middle of what was a really long stretch of road that continued through several roundabouts winding about (I've never been in st albans before to add so I don't know my way around) and using just the postcode was like 4 minutes away. (late by 3 minutes so far)
Asked for a house number as realised I wasn't sent one,
eventually sent a picture of just the house door (one of those 31D(*) type house numbers so I assumed just another door on the building) found 31A, checked round the building, there is a small road connected to the main road so the house was on a corner, there was only one other door with the same number 31(*) and a 35 (who knows where 33 went), confused plugged it into maps to have it point to the same exact building and also somewhere else like 7 minutes away with the wrong name. Looking across this small road was a few buildings right to a commercial part of town. Asked for help before I decide to waste time walking somewhere that could be wrong, shared my location on whatsapp as well, and then met with an aggressive tone of @not knowing how to navigate (which admittedly I do suck at) and told to go away, didn't like that so just buggered off.
Later figured out on a pc using streetview that for some reason, 31B/C/D(*), continued on another building in between the commercial district and the house I was looking at and had something similar to what shops have to shield customer just outside from the rain if you crossed the small road (mentioned earlier). One look at the whatsapp ping would've just shown me right next to it. So yeah not sure but it was a negative experience for me.
What would you guys have thought, am I in the wrong for running late/being bad with navigation (the original intended arrival time according to maps was 20 mins before the meet (this was to the wrong location that using the full address (without the house number as not provided) got me to) or was this just a case of shit comms or both?
