Hua Hin

I'm a Pattaya lover and planning to be there at the end of this year.  I'm thinking of popping over to Hua Hin for a few days. Does anybody have recent experience of punting there? Much appreciated

Hi Yes, I was in Hua hin in May 25 for 5 days and did the same thing Patts v Bangkok airport to Hua Hin.
The buses and changes took me about 5-6 hours total.
I stayed in City beach resort 3 star old but functional guest friendly 👍
It’s a massive shock from Patts it’s LA v Blackpool it’s quite yes they have bars and a road with just bars.
Plenty of massage shops TF was poor for hot girls had 2 photo shopped girls visit, totally not worth recommending.

Had Two nice massage girls,  fees 1000 bt x 1 pop.

Did pick a lovely 21 year old but she ST with me after $ 500 bar fine.
But a lot of the girls I found were just looking for boyfriends sugar daddy's as there is quite  an x pat community.
Bars in area soi bintab and Hui Hin 80 road with 20/30 bars few nice girls but no strip bars .I think they have a Nura place out of town..
the beach wasn’t very pleasant near to my accommodation?

I was visiting to check out potential places to retire but the jury is still out on Hua hin 🤷‍♂️
Hope this helps it was bloody hot and humid in May just walking around was exhausting.

Thanks for that fatman. I thought there was a ferry straight across the bay (looking on Google maps). Doesn't seem worth it after reading your report.  If I want a shower pace than Pattaya,  just return to Blighty init lol

Hay the ferry stopped in covid times …. I asked brotherhood a few months ago and they told me it had been cancelled….

Most of the action is around Soi 94 and Soi 80 now but especially Soi 94 which has a lot of new things opening up.

Everytime I go to Hua Hin it is dead.  It's a nice enough place, the night market is good to sit out at & the punting scene is there but it's quiet and pretty boring.  The crowd is pretty old.  Bintabaht hasn't really got going again since covid, the bars are there but the girls and punters are not.  There is a nightclub around there though with a lot of freelancers.

There are hundreds of bars in HH across the 3 main areas and you will find a few gems but you are not going to find 100s of hot women around every corner.

Hua Hin is very chill compared to Pattaya. A few areas as discussed above. No real nightclubs to speak of, maybe Panama in bintabaht area and the small after hours complex near Hilton hotel. No Gogo scene. More beer bars. I find it not as crazy and intense as Pattaya and there are some really good beaches and caves etc for day trips nearby. Some really good seafood restaurants and night markets too. Regarding punting , it's Thailand! Crack on.

Visited Hua Hin last week and had a great time.  Did a lot of research up front on the application called Thaifriendly and searched out a "large" number of girls and ladyboys.
