not convinced about that as a loss after one game, as the friday night opener, would put them rock bottom and if they then finished 15th next May they could consider it a successful season rising 5 places.

This story seems to have slipped under the radar but Sheffield Utd have sacked manager Chris Wilder. Paying the price for failing to get Sheffield Utd back to the Premier league.  First casualty of the new season. It couldn't happen to a nicer bloke 
His exit was apparently " mutually " agreed so we will still get a good pay off.
Former Hull city and Southampton manager Ruben Selles has taken over. I can see that working out well.

It seems fans of all our " favourite " team are up in arms over ticket price rises and the different categories being charged. For example Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City would be category A games and would cost more than Burnley, Bournemouth etc who are probably category B or C. To be honest I always thought this was a thing most clubs did. It's certainly something Coventry have done for a long time. For example Birmingham City, Leicester City, West Brom will be A categories and the likes of Preston, Oxford ,Portsmouth category C. Do other clubs do this 
I find this strange because at the end of the day you are paying to see your team play not the opposition.   
All three promoted teams will no doubt put their ticket prices up as they are now watching Premier league football.

Which looking at the odds appears to be pretty likely [Leeds evens to get relegated, the next closest Wolves c.3-1 & Brentford c.9-2]

I cant see Villa being better than Newcastle over the season
The demands of the CL are more testing than the Europa tho at least Newcastle fans get more matches on a Saturday rather than Sundays for Villa

& i think with everything the magpies the fans the packed stadium atmosphere will just about have enuf

I cant see Brentford getting 7th not even close
Their manager is gorne & Mbuemo looks to be on his way 

Likewise Palace might struggle when Guehi leaves

How can any predictions be made for the new season when the transfer window has only recently opened. No factoring in recruits and exits for each team. It's the silly season at the moment of transfer speculations and predictions. Happens at the start of every season. This one is even more stupid and that's me saying it.

I thought of the three promoted teams Leeds would have the best chance of staying up but they have got to hit the ground running.  Burnley bored their way to the Championship title last season, I can't see their tactic working in the Premier league

I too think Leeds have the better chance of staying up and I think wolves have to be careful and buy the right players(by that I mean not all from South America)as they could end up struggling the first 3 months of season

Burnley were cruising @ home to Millwall 3-1
& Leeds having to match the Burnley result [to be champions] were at one stage struggling against Plymouth a goal down

With regards to Plymouth had they got shot of Rooney & installed the new manager earlier a reasonable chance they would have stayed up
Plymouth contributed to Spanish Archer Wilder is a Wanker's wobble scoring twice in the last ten mins to win 2-1 against Sheffield Utd

That computer footy table probably isn't too far out but the title being won with 82 points is quite low
Hopefully it will be a good competitive season with a few in the running right up to a few games to play, I'd expect Man City to be more consistent this season and right in the mix but can Arsenal stay the distance rather than fade away and can Newcastle improve

Newcastle now have the rigours of Champions league footy too and the vultures are circling for their best players, last I heard Liverpool were looking at Isak for £150M 

There's always going to be speculation about Newcastle's best players, when the FCB owned the club Isak would have been sold in the first part of the transfer window.

Don't forget Isak has 3 years left on his current contract and negotiations on an improved one are yet to take place.

It's rumoured we have about £250m to spend this summer so do we need to sell our best players? it will be interesting to see who we get in though.

The 2030 date is a loose deadline and is not cast in stone, but the intention is to continue to close the revenue gap on the traditional “Big Six” and strive to build a squad who are competitive in the latter stages of every competition they play in.

Having freed themselves of their constraints related to profit and sustainability rules (PSR) over the last 12 months with some difficult player sales, Newcastle are in a position to not only strengthen their squad, but also keep hold of their big-name players like in-demand striker Alexander Isak.

That's the advantage we have, we don't have to sell anyone now, we sorted the issues out when we sold  Elliot Anderson, Yankuba Minteh, Ryan Fraser.     Miggy Almiron and Lloyd Kelly.

If we didn't have champions league I could understand some of the better players wanting to move but we have, we also have a domestic trophy in the bag and have the ambition to challenge at the top.

Of course. However, with regard to stature, Nottingham Forest have won the European Cup twice. Everton have won numerous trophies, admittedly not recently. The Premier League saw those 2 clubs as much easier targets than the nouveau riche Manchester City though.

Can't say I'm optimistic about the new season. Apparently we can't sack Van Nistelrooy until the new accounting year starting July 1, or we'll be yet further in breach of financial rules, and no doubt be docked even more points.

Things have been a bit slow on the transfer front for both teams by the looks of it. We have so far only signed one player. A full back from Spanish La Liga 2 side Granada by the name of Miguel Angel Brau. Have to say I don't really know much about him. I'm hoping Gyokeres will be joining Arsenal soon so we can have a bit of the sell on fee. With Birmingham City also back in the Championship and West Brom failing to get promotion there will be plenty of local Derby's to look forward to. I think the best we can hope for is another play off push but we always seem to start the season slowly. A good start will make a pleasant change. I think Leicester getting Van Nistelrooy in as manager was a big mistake.
A lot of the so called experts have Leicester down to finish 4th and Coventry 5th , if so we could be meeting in the play off Semi final

Great win for England U21's beating Netherlands  2-1 in the semi final. Liverpool's Harvey Elliott getting both goals. He's looking like England's man of the tournament so far. Not sure if he is a 1st team regular for Liverpool but on this showing he should be this upcoming season
