External Link/Members OnlyAfter a long time away from this hobby, I tried to arrange a meet with this provider last Friday. (AW profile said available until "late") got response via SMS telling me that they were only available until midday on Fridays. Next in-call was available 11am on Thursday. (Today) So I booked in for 11. And was told, can we make it 11:15.
No problem for me.
Messaged yesterday, to confirm all was still ok, and was asked if we could move it to 12:45. I couldn't do that unfortunately, so she said, "no worries, see you at 11:15".
Location was a hotel, so I parked nearby and messaged to say I was there. Message was "read" but no reply for a few minutes. Called a couple of times whilst walking to the hotel, no answer, rang to voicemail.
Then got a text saying she was running 10 minutes late. By this time it was 11:25, hang around for another 5 minutes, then walked back to the car to wait, with a deadline in my own mind of 11:45. When 11:45 arrived, I drove off. Almost 10 minutes after that she text with the room number and instructions on how to get in etc.
I explained I now didn't have time for the meet.
All done, feel like I had a lucky escape probably. (Trust the gut feeling!)
