They are indeed. Remember there some years ago the lifeboat had been lanched and was coming back to shore where a helicopter was waiting to take two people off to hospital i suppose, but all very dramatic and impressive. Just ordinary men and women doing that !, well wouldnt quite call them ordinary, perhaps just quiet hero's well thats what they are!..

Just down the road at Casiter after a disaster in 1901 the timeless phrase;

 "Caister men never turn back"
