I have thought, if only AW paid a few credits for every one reported and taken down, that'd be nice, but I guess I'll have to settle for likes and recognition from UKP members like yourself. Thank you.

I haven't kept an exact record but I think that AW have actioned reports by UKP members (not just myself) and taken down more than 250 profiles in the last year or so.

I think it does make a difference to the reliability of AW and supports the genuine SPs who are competing against the fake profiles and scammers.

And we can do more.

I know lots of UKP members do due diligence and check profiles, so please, if anyone spots a fake, just report it here, and we'll help make AW a better platform.

Wasted my time today - got to the hotel (incurring parking charges) and she sends me a request for deposit. Did the hard work when I got back and it is Alexa Rae of OF fame. It's just the ones I find when I do some checks on profiles that catch my eye.

I use all the tools I can find:  Yandex, Tin Eye, Google, Facecheck ID, searches on UKP, whatever I can...

Unfortunately we only have access to the civvy versions and they are inconsistent - sometimes I'll get a result someone else doesn't on the same image and sometimes the search engines assume I am shopping for clothes and the results are no use at all.

One time it chose to focus on a table the WG was posing next to, not the person.

Now that they can use AI to generate pics of women, the fake photo game will soon be impossible to win.

There are still enough visual clues to get the sixth sense going , just like photos from IG have a certain sheen, so do AI generated ones in my experience.

Sometimes it's the fingers and sometimes it takes a bit of investigation to be sure.
