Mad Friday

I went to the Supermarket yesterday (actually 2 different ones) to avoid having to go today or at the weekend, on my way in there were people who knew each other chatting, some were on the way in as the others were on the way out and they commented that "It's bedlam" in there, anyway it was no worse than normal so I have no idea WTF they were going on about but people do like to make a drama out of everything 

Anyway this last Friday is referred to as Mad Friday with many people having their last day at work before Xmas and then heading out on the town for the works do or rather the unofficial piss up.
I've done it a couple of times before many years ago but the appeal of being rammed into a pub that's heaving with too many pissed up wankers has waned as I get older.

It's not just the pubs though as I expect shops to also be rammed and driving anywhere is also likely to be a shit show 

I was thinking of travelling over to one of the Manchester parlours today for a punt as they have a special offer on but on reflection I think i'll pass as it's likely to be a crap journey there and a crap one back too

Looks like the gym again for me then and I may do the spa area too afterwards then home for a pizza and beer 

Anyone else actually planning on fighting the whole world and venturing out for a punt or the pub or like me are you now past all that crap

As Ive got older Ive increasingly passed on works do's and Mad Friday piss ups. It may just be my grumpiness but I just avoid people these days as much as I can all year round, town or city centre pubs especially.

I’m popping out later to do a last minute shop. But it will be an easy hour or so.
Friends over for dinner later then chill over the weekend until it’s time to head to the airport.
Christmas/New Year in the sun this year. Just for a change.

Heading out shortly to meet some of the lads from work. It's been a tradition for a number of years,but we are all 55 or older so it's not going to be a wild sesh. I might slip away around 10 and try a pre Christmas punt at a well known parlour in Manchester and then an Uber home. Safely tucked up by 12!
