Visited Sunday afternoon. Managed to park opposite the shop (parking is easy on a Sunday). There’s two shops side by side, 91 (Lavender Spa) and 93 (Health & Beauty) Lavender Hill which are both owned by the same people so are connected.  I went in the shop on the left of the two but sometimes you’re lead next door. Asked the receptionist for a one hour massage and was quoted £55, as expected. Was asked if I wanted to use the sauna, which I did and annoyingly, there is now a £5 surcharge to use the sauna.

I was asked if I could wait 40 mins, as the girl was not available yet otherwise she (the receptionist) would do the massage. Told her I was okay to wait and that I’ll use the sauna first.  Anyway, lead to the facilities, given a towel, I showered then used the sauna. Finished my sauna session with another shower.

Five minutes before my allotted time, the receptionist came to collect me and showed me to the room. In came Jessie, a young (20’s?), petite girl with a nice rack.  Massage commenced without being asked what sort of massage. I thought the massage was okay with good pressure, little painful in the calf area. Nothing sensual. She does seem trained but I have felt better techniques.  Some oil applied, some techniques applied through the towel.  She wasn’t very talkative so I just rolled with it. On turnover, was casually asked if I wanted extras. I asked what was on offer which she replied with “handjob starting at £50”!!!, given I only had £35 on me, I turned it down right away. I got the impression more is on offer but I didn’t ask. She didn’t seem disappointed that I turned it down and just continued with the massage like nothing happened.

Massage over, I went for another shower.  They have three showers with two working on this side. I think the other shop next door has both a steam room and sauna?  Can’t remember if it’s this place or the other down the road.   The changing room has lockers, sliders so seems like a proper sauna although going through the seating area from the changing room wearing just as towel is a bit weird when there’s other customers there. There was an old couple there also, whom I walked past whilst just wearing a towel.

Anyway, the massage was average. Nothing sensual and no asking what I wanted, whether it was okay, etc. I didn’t feel loosened after nor sore. Assuming it was some sort of Thai massage although did not involve some of the leg, arm and back stretches I’ve had with other Thai masseuses.  No attempt at conversation during the session although she seemed smiley afterwards when I tried to make conversation.  I’d give this experience a neutral as it wasn’t memorable and extras quoted were too high. Assuming I lasted 5 mins from the HE (probably not if she was good), that’s like £10/min. Crazy pricing.  Maybe if you start the conversation and she warms to you she might be friendlier.

PROS
Young Pretty girl
Good shower facilities
Sauna facilities.
Easy parking outside on Sundays

CONS
Average (non-sensual) massage
Expensive Extras

Paid £60 total (£55 + £5 for sauna use)
