Back in the day when I working in Blackpool town centre. There used to be a couple of newsagents that had postcards in their windows. One on Topping St, & one on Deansgate. As well as flats to rent, there was Girls advertising their services.

I never did try out one, did I miss a good trick?

When i first moved near to the area 20 years ago, this was my main way way of contacting escorts. I always remember trying to memorise the numbers so you wasnt seen writing anything down!
For me there were some bangers, i think i met Candy from Hornby Road this way along with her sidekick Mercedes. Mercedes later went solo and had girls working for her up Dixon Road and some were great. There was stalwarts of the window shops, one i cant remember her name from Bispham ( not Debbie) who was total filth. I have a great story about this lady, but i will save it for another time. The other was Roxanne, the ginger haired 5-foot nothing always pissed woman who moved all around Blackpool. Pure pump and dump material, whom i admit to seeing regularly, mainly cos she brought something from me and paid me in an agreed number of sessions. Funny enough she popped up recently whilst i was having a drink somewhere. She was discreet and said hello when i was on my own, even hinted that she was returning to blackpool and would be up for meet ups again. Its a definite no, she has gained lots of weight and lost a few teeth! Her father is high up in the police force. BP will remember her.
There were others but my memory is not what it was.

Not been in Blackpool long enough to remember these but do remember them elsewhere in the country!
It’s made me quite nostalgic reading this post.
Funny to think now that newspapers, newsagents, telephone boxes and even the occasional sex shop were the AW of their day.
I had some great punts and some really bad ones using the old methods of contact. Not much has changed really except the technology and having review sites like ukp .

BP will remember her.

Not ringing any bells but, like you, my memory is fading.  There were loads though eh!

The newsagents windows were a great source back in the day - I got to the stage where I didn't bother who saw me jotting numbers down

Gazette and LEP too....christ when I think back how easy it was to punt in them days

Havn't punted in about 6 months now - sad times

I think Thai Nikita had her number in one of those shops back in the day and she was well worth seeing

I vaguely remember a newsagents in Dickson Road which had cards in the window alongside the items for sale.
It's so long ago my memory fades, but I did arrange a few punts.

I stopped using them after I arrived at a really grotty terraced house with an equally grotty inhabitant.
I scarpered, and decided to just rely on newspaper adverts and The Sunday Sport.

Not Blackpool but I was familiar with newsagents classifieds advertising various services like window cleaners, French polishers, French lessons, and music lessons

You had a 50:50 chance of getting what was advertised from that selection of advertised services, but I didn’t use those classifieds.
Whenever travelling I did make use of the local classifieds papers and flick to the back sections to look out for the personals section to work out the difference between dating and ‘dating’ adverts plus the French polishers, models etc

Time has moved on with some online local classifieds and dedicated sites such as vivastreet and the like
