I have a booking made for Saturday and this morning I get the tell tale tingle of a cold sore, now one of the thing I like about a meeting is the kissing so do I.....

a) go ahead with the booking and not mension the cold sore
b) go ahead with the booking and no kissing
c) cancell the booking

Offline AnthG

My advice is contact the girl and ask her what she would rather you do.

I say this as then you avoid the allegation of timewaster if you cancel at the last moment.

Yep.

I'd play it as above. Apart from spreading the virus to others, herpes carries some very dangerous risks. The HIV virus can piggy back on genital herpes and it's transmission is far more likely if a person has a sore.

This is genital herpes of course, but I'd personally say punting with a cold sore is irresponsible.

Cancel and explain why!

Then smother yourself in Zovirax and get rid of the mofo.

Don't do it. You know how much coldsores can be a pain and they're uncurable, so why risk giving it to someone just so you can get your rocks off?

Although not an STD, coldsores can be transmitted to the genitals, how would you feel if you got infected like that? It is possible that you could kiss her, then she could give you oral thereby infecting yourself elsewhere. Even touching by hand could spread it.

I wouldn't risk it for all concerned.

Well if you`re getting the tingle now then by Saturday your up and coming cold sore will more than likely be visible for the lass to see and chances are she wont be up for tonsil hockey anyway when she spots it .
Go ahead with your punt but be honest if the cold sore isnt too visible at the time and just down go down on her or kiss her  :)

That's not good advice. She may not even know the health risks of cold sores and if she does she'd probably rather have her time wasted than catch an uncurable viral infection. There is still time to cancel and not be labelled as a timewaster.

Sorry, but it's just ridiculous to suggest that.

I don't agree! Unless I've misunderstood...?

OP:
DON'T punt with a (potential) cold sore. How would you like it if the roles were reversed, and the lady you were visiting said she had one coming? Or she didn't tell you and you contracted cold sores/genital herpes?

Clients who knowingly punt with potential STIs or infections/viruses (virii?) help spread infections around the prostitute and punter community. PLEASE don't risk your or anyone else's health or life.

And like i said earlier , if its visible , which it probably will be , the lady probably wont want him kissing her anyway !

Offline Urban_G

You also said if it's not too visible just go down on her or kiss her...

Its me tryin to type to fast !
Iv never had a cold sore , even though i had a boyfriend for nearly 3 years who used to get them , i do though use the old `iv got a cold sore comin on ` excuse when some one with shit for breath and sugar puff teeth tries to do DFK !

Offline bakerted

Along with the Zovirax as soon as you get the tingle start taking Aspirin. In some instances this can even prevent the sore from appearing.

With regard to the punt I would cancel.

Offline odynsfee

For all those cold sore sufferers, Boots sell a cold sore machine and it really works!! you just place it on the sore for 3 minutes, it works by it emitting a pure light that kills the virus in no time if you can catch it early enough (the tingling stage). I used to get one on my lip several times a year but since I used this machine I have not had a reoccurrence. :yahoo:
And NO you should not go anywhere near the WP with a cold sore coming on, I think its totally irresponsible to even consider it.

It's the same for anything you might have that's potentially contagious, cold sore, common cold, influenza, ebola ... it would be very selfish to go ahead with the booking knowing that you could infect the girl, and probably put her out action, unable to work for several days or more.

I email the lady and explianed and we decided to cancell she was ok with that and thanked me and said I can rebook an time.
So now I think I will go for a massarge with a happy ending.........but no kissing

Offline Daffodil

I'm amazed the question even had to be asked  :dash:

The option of not saying anything, and going through with the punt as per usual is disgraceful behaviour. This is the sort of stupidity/selfishness that goes on out there and it pisses me off.

I get cold sores and would never dream of punting with one. They're also impossible to mistake. You know you have one

Offline CupidStunt

I must admit I'm kinda surprised this question hasn't resulted in more "wtf, how can you even consider punting when you're contagious with a life long infection" type responses.

Offline Taggart

I've been in this situation and cancelled, as I like to give a girl oral and would never put her at risk.

The difference between true love and herpes?
Herpes is forever.

Vapour rub, is also good for getting rid of cold sore, I use vapour rub the min I feel the tingle, and even if it goes beyond tingle, it kills the cold sore, so it only develops so much, and mines was gone with in one week, no cold sore scaring

Can you imagine if you went and seen the escort, I would say, having a cold sore, is like going  to see an escort, and having bareback sex

Someone else is going to see that escort after you, and they will be doing the same thing, and possibly catch something from the escort

Hah, didn't even notice that, it just read like '... go down on her ...', thanks for clearing that up (unlike you can with a coldsore ;)).
