Doctors indeed

Striking off - this should be immediate whilst investigations carried out
& more like jail time if guilty

so guilty until proved innocent hey? Perhaps we should lock everyone up immediately that has any type of allegation made about them - until such time as the police and /or CPS get round to deciding there is no evidence against them and they are completely innocent.

great country we would have then!! The current system isn't perfect but its better than that!

Just been on the news about 19 separate women going to the police about him over a 20 year or so time period and every time there wasn't enough evidence to proceed, the 1st report was in 1979 before he even bought Harrods.

Perhaps in each individual case based on the evidence / information they had in front of them there wasn't enough evidence however nobody drew the dots together after 3 or 4 complaints and thought there may be a pattern here  Surely after 10 or 11 someone would have twigged  :unknown:

Obviously now everyone is saying it should have been clear that something was amiss  :dash:

Reporters have caught up with the surviving Dr Coxon who gave "No comment" to the questions, she looks like an old woman now but still deserved plenty of shit to come her way  :drinks:

It would have been more appropriate for me to post that the Doctor be suspended pending investigation rather than struck off

Doing STD tests on the fit blondes & not giving the results to them instead to Fayed, good luck her explaining that to the GMC & / or Court

She looks ancient. I can't believe she's still practising so suspension or striking off will make little difference.

There's something deeply wrong with Britain where people are repeatedly turning a blind eye to these situations and people are getting damaged. There's an unwillingness to stand up to people in authority when their behaviour is unacceptable. People are scared of losing their jobs. Personally if my boss was ripping my shirt open or making suggestive remarks I'd tell him where to shove his job and find another job.

Another one that's apparently got away with it by kicking the bucket is his head of security, John Macnamara. Seems that he was complicit in using threats, surveillance, etc. against Al Fayed's victims. Ex Met. Police so no surprise there.

Just a thought, with a name like Mohamed, what might have happened if this news came out 5 or 6 weeks ago? It would be interesting to know if 19th September was always the BBC's release date of their investigation.

Well the GMC refused to investigate in 2017. To be fair, the Doctor concerned was dead, so I can sort of see the logic.

Its easy to have 20/20 hindsight however what i cant figure is, as mentioned some posts back ⬆️, is when the CPS & The Met [or indeed the GMC] see the same name / suspected perp across their desk repeated times cant see the bigger picture
Its supposed to be their day job / what they do
Is there any fallout for them as a result of their incompetence ?  :unknown:
Dont be silly, they come up with platitutudes missed opportunities doing things differently now & ooooh we're sorry
& that's that wait for whats in the papers to be used for wrapping fish & chips but a day or three later

Apples usually dont fall far from the tree so what are the odds that Al's son would have the same family disposition ?
Maybe something which develops in later age as the individuals ability to be attractive to women wanes
He'll have been on best behaviour when with PrincessD, give it a few years & if Ladbrokes offered odds i'd have a wager
There's a theme, white meat this time blondies

I really hope those abused & raped take Harrods to the cleaners
Guided & aided by decent lawyers, with the latter hammering them for fees
It might encourage the now owners [who appear to be doing the right thing ... tho the proof is in the pudding ££] to revisit their purchase from the Fayed family
& take appropriate action against the Fayed Estate
Me thinks that the new owners lawyers are already all over this
Seeking recompense, if only hopefully to bolster the funds available to the victims
The Estate will want to keep things under wraps rather than being dragged in Court

After giving the very impression of being completely inept looking the other way after numerous women came forward to them to be ignored [i'm intriguided as to what their motivations were, now where on the map is Windsor ?] maybe the Met will amaze everyone & start investigating those around the two brothers who helped facilitated what they did
All but impossible that the two of them did this on their own

The new owners were being nice by engaging but I don't believe that they have inherited any financial liability.

You should promote yourself as their new advisor, no inheritance
& what about reputational brand damage ?

Their compo scheme is up & running
No liability eh ?

Now whether or not its any good is another matter

Don't know about CPS or GMC, but in the Met it's entirely possible that a different person dealt with each report, so there would have been no "hang on, I've seen this name before" plus there's a huge turnover in people in that type of unit. Up until recently, computers didn't "talk" to each other, so no chance of linking it that way either. In 1979, it was probably still on index cards.

This is frightening, how many crims rapists like the Fayed brothers & committing all sorts of other crimes escaped being caught
& the police already had the evidence if they were able to join the dots
When it was index cards it would have been reliant on long serving members of staff who took a keen interest in their job & had near to photographic memory

I'm pretty sure that when Paedo Randy Andy met Guiffre in 2001 the systems were enhanced enough to link things up
Establishing if someone went to Pizza Express in Woking or not
Yet again The Met / CPS weirdly choose not to investigate further and a nonce escapes justice

On the subject of the Royals & Fayed ⬇️

'Protection officer says he warned Palace about Fayed'
Reading the article this was before Diana died in 1997

'Dai Davies, who was in charge of keeping the royals safe from 1994 to 1998, said he was aware of allegations Fayed had "a reputation", and warned royal officials that Scotland Yard’s serious and organised crime group was investigating him'
I cant help but come to the conclusion that one of the reasons that the Met & CPS didnt pursue Fayed was because they were fearful of damaging their careers putting their jobs in danger should they be seen to be incurring the displeasure of The Firm
Any chance of those senior in The Met & CPS getting on the honours list gorne in a puff of smoke

DD commented:
"I was worried that he was being investigated and that she [Princess Diana] was taking the boys with a man that was quite bad," said Mr Davies.
In raising concerns about that investigation, Mr Davies said he was told by royal officials Diana was aware of it.

Whether or not Diana was or wasnt made aware will never been known

Had the Met & CPS pulled their fingers out grown some & charged Fayed [or at least leaked that he was being investigated] & this being in the public domain this would have killed off any chances of Diana seeing Dodi
[the Met first had Fayed arrive on their desk in 1995, despite claiming that it was a decade later 2005 = they were telling porkies]
Clearly Diana was in a difficult place thanks to her ex husband aided & abetted by the current "Queen" & with limited options sidled up next to the Fayed family
The relationship would have been brought to a grinding halt and there;s a possibility that she would still be alive

The Met have deftly got themselves off the hook

Reporting themselves to the IOPC
Get investigated by another Force, well thats going to be independent isnt it
Make this process last ages hope that the dust settles kick the can down the road 'lessons to be learned' blah blah & things carry on as they were
A 'system' failure & no one is held accountable, quelle surprise

Whats needed is a public inquiry lets see how the Met the GMC & the CPS fair in this
The Firm will be dreading it, oh dear

The Met's systems were finally updated last year, so now everything is cross referenced - it's also a National system so monsters like (for example) Huntley, won't find it as easy to slip under the radar.. Before that, there were 3 systems PNC, Merlin and Crimint and information (often duplicate) had to be manually entered into all 3 separately - time consuming was an understatement.
Unless/until there is a public enquiry, (and possibly not even then) we won't know why Al Fayed wasn't prosecuted - it may be that the Met presented evidence to CPS who decided not to.
