If simple punters know all this, it begs the question "why don't the police?" If they don't know - they ought to. If they do know, why aren't they stepping in to protect these girls? It's not as if they're hard to find. There are adverts all over the Internet.
I understand how they let some parlours with UK girls stay open as it can be safer for the girls than being on the street. But why aren't they doing anything about the brothels and massage parlours trafficking girls?
Simple punters
don't know all this - you need to look at things critically before it becomes apparent. To most of our members much of this is new.
As for the police not knowing - well how could they? They're not exposed to it every day, they don't know where to look or even how to look. For most of them Adultwork and Vivastreet are unknown quantities. They can't simply pick up a phone and ask "are you trafficked", and they haven't the manpower to ask every girl for an address and then visit her.......and anyway such an operation would fall foul of the law anyway - notably because it could be seen as a fishing trip or enticement.
The police can only act if they've been targeted as to where to go: which means they need information. Either from nosy neighbours worried about strangers knocking on doors, or more usefully from punters who've gone somewhere, seen the condition of the girls and made the decision to do something and call the police,
These recent arrests will only have happened because a punter or punters somewhere have seen something wrong and then made a deliberate decision to get involved and make a difference
