I haven't had a punt for 3 months, partly as life is too busy, and partly as I'm losing interest in punting to an extent, or at least not getting much enjoyment from it at the moment.

Decided to have a go today and should've driven into London but couldn't be bothered so chose Wawa as she has decent reviews.

I arrived 20 mins early and sent a text to let her know I was a bit early and ready whenever she was. Heard nothing back until the arranged start time with a text asking me to wait another 10 mins. After 10 mins, I received a text with the flat number. I rang the buzzer a number of times to no reply. Standing around looking lost, I sent a message asking what was happening as there was no reply. A few minutes later I get a reply saying that she's already let me into the flat, except that it wasn't me. So she'd somehow let another punter in who hadn't booked, and asked if I'd wait an hour for her - all sounding way too strange, and no way was I waiting.

I told her I was leaving. I headed off and quickly found a backup punt down the road who was available immediately so I confirmed and headed in.

Then Wawa starts texting and calling repeatedly saying that she's available now. Too late.

Glad that doesn't happen often as the following punt turned out boring as I hadn't researched a backup.

To be fair to her, it was probably a mess up from the maid, and who knows who she let into the flat instead of me. I'm sure she was just as confused as me. But considering she wasted my time like that, I did the review anyway.

She sounds solid from her reviews though.

Yeah maybe you got unlucky with the maid, mate. It can happen. I've had two exemplary punts with one SP and then she was off with me on the third one for no reason I could discern.

some punters are less than honest (or lets say are also "confused") as when they get asked at the door "did you book?" they say "yes" and get let in.

Also WG always seem to ask " oh, are you john?"  (rather than ask what your name is) and again "some punters just say "yes" to get in the door and take your punt!

Punters eh? but it is bloody annoying when you have booked and someone "steals" your booking!

Good point. But they still warrant a negative. And if the SPs see the negative and aren't happy with it, it's then up to them to make adjustments to their booking system.
