I would love to know what all the 'medical experts' on here make of this disease and the potential threat  it may provide to us in the Uk

seems it is now in Sweden and clearly it could be a big issue if it spreads.

Just catching up and it seems it can be passed on like covid was so it’s not just sexual

Because Covid was quite clearly utilised as an excuse to exercise control over the population.
It clearly was a virus.
It fell far short of the definition of a pandemic.
And in the two years we were 'encouraged'  to get shots and boosters the gap between the oligarchy and the peasants widened to a chasm.
Loads of new billionaires .
Loads of people being displaced and made homeless.
Are you saying people shouldn't be suspicious of the WHO and their motives and any new scare that comes into the conversation?
That we should all just shut up and let Bill Gates make decisions on our behalf?

Well for a start pandemics usually kill a large percentage of people infected .
After the first couple of months it was basically like an outbreak of the flu.
Outwith people in their eighties and people with other serious health problems the death rate was negligible.
No one would seriously advocate a lockdown every time a new strain of flu appeared.

The people at the top didn't lose anything.
They made money.
Can you point to a billionaire that stumbled upon hard times ?
Sweden didn't lock down.
And they did okay.
And their children and young adults weren't deprived of a normal education, leading to mental health issues .
All for a virus that was of negligible risk to anyone under 40.

Firstly apologies my pursuit of this has meant all the old Covid stuff is being regurgitated again and there is a thread for it were it has been done to death.

I am not surprised, but you stated Covid was created in a laboratory and that the vaccines were flawed, which are valid discussion points, but none of that could possibly apply to mpox as you suggested which is why I am pursuing this.

I don't want to revisit the whole COVID and lockdown debate. But I just wanted to detail that I am not particularly knowledgeable on Sweden's pre-pandemic planning.

The motivation for lockdown was, I beleive, politically motivated. Not necessarily to prevent deaths, but to prevent deaths without treatment. Having Granny die on a trolley whilst the ventilators / CPAP machines are being used on others is the kind of things that bring down governments. I'd guess the same was also true in Sweden, but their capacity to absorb any cases amongst the most vulnerable may have been greater than our own. Remember the phrase was "Protect the NHS", not "Protect the immuno-compromised."  Subsequent push back on lockdowns may have been lesser if that were the case.

Doc H is quite right to detail that this situation is pretty different. Not least because any treatment options could be given en masse in a way that wasn't the case with COVID.
