Meeting took place last week. I texted in the morning for an appointment and two hours later I was on the table. Responses to my texts were quick, polite & understandable.
Location
Aurora Spa has just opened. lt is situated above a hairdressing salon on a busy street in the middle of Grimsby. Fortunately when I went, there was lots of free car parking about. To get to the shop you have to walk through the hairdressing salon to the back & then go up a flight of stairs. Be prepared to be stared at by several old dears getting their blue rinses done! At the top of the stairs there is a largish room which has a reception desk and a couple of massage tables each with curtains that can be pulled around for privacy. The table I used was reasonably comfortable; it had a hole in which to put your head. Next to my bed was a chair on which to leave your clothes.
Looks
Ann is an Asian lady, probably late 50s. Good English, shoulder length curly dark hair, slim, not particularly tall, quite good-looking IMO.
Services
I texted when I had parked up, I was told to wait and somebody would come & collect me. I was then escorted through the hairdressing salon and upstairs. Once upstairs I was asked to fill in a small card with my contact details & any health issues I might have. I completed the card with the usual load of old rubbish I have prepared when faced with this type of request. The receptionist then introduced me to Ann who told me she would be doing my massage. I confirmed that I wanted an hour-long relaxing oil massage. Ann pulled the curtain around my table told me to get undressed but leave my boxers on and when ready get on the table.
Ann started proceedings by covering me with a long thin sheet and then washed my feet. Her massage technique was very good (lots of certificates on the wall to prove her training), nice touch, methodical, decent pressure etc. In fact it was so good I think I dozed off halfway through, not something that happens very often to me. Unfortunately the massage was completely legit.
When it was over I got dressed and was then offered a herbal tea and asked to sit down for a little while to help with the recovery process. I declined the tea but did sit down for 5-10 minutes and had a little chat with Ann and the receptionist (who I think had remained in the room whilst I was enjoying my massage). I paid the £40 fee and eventually left. As I was walking back to my car I looked at my phone and saw that I’d been in the shop about 75 minutes so no short-changing in terms of time.
Conclusion
In total I paid £40 for a 60 minute massage. The Massage was pretty good, unfortunately it was completely legit. As I got what I paid for I can’t go red, no extras so I can’t go green, grey feels right to me. The search for a decent massage with extras in Lincolnshire continues…
