Was in a florist shop today with my other half. She likes flowers.

They were selling a bunch of 12 red roses for £110  :scare:

Who pays that sort of money for a few flowers  :unknown:

Mugs that's who  :unknown:

Posh area?

There are people with fat wallets and bank accounts that don't think of £110 as a lot of money. Wouldn't say it makes them mugs. Just wealthy and £110 is insignificant.

There are those that are just crap with money and spend without thinking and are in debt, they are indeed mugs.

You should ask for hand relief thrown in for that money

No, buy them from Aldi but nick a price tag from the £110 shop and put that on, loads of brownie points.

Surely that's promoting shoplifting and encouraging members to break the law. If you were a shop keeper would you like it if people came and stole you stuff even if it was price tags for souvenir/brownie points.

They have overheads as well.

Sod flowers! They die and fall over.
If she wants Roses she can have some of these, at least they'll stop her complaining about being hungry and save the price of meal

FFS, please accept my most humble apologies if you think my obviously humorous comment was a intended to encourage any members to do anything illegal.

Would it be satisfactory if when posting joke comments that are not meant to be taken seriously if I add the caveat (NB this is a joke please don't take it to mean anything other than an attempt at humour).

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Daisies are cheaper,
I’ll get those for you

Back on thread…a few years ago when the hormones were more vigorous in my body..
I might well have calculated that if 110 quid got my tojer away, that it was a bargain.

£110 for a dozen roses. I thought they were a bargain.
Mind you. They sold them singly at £10 each.

Buy 11 and you got one for free.
Couldn’t resist 😂
