Meeting took place over festive holiday period. Passing through Cathays area, so was a walk in. First time here despite passing the shop many times.

Location: 35 Salisbury Road

Telephone number: 07449 345115 External Link/Members Only

Price: £55 for 60 min deep tissue massage. £20 HR

The meeting: walked in and chose a deep tissue massage from the large board. One middle-aged lady and one younger lady in the shop. Could hear another staff member in one of the rooms. Paid the £55 and told to go into one of the rooms. Shop had quite a strong food smell and room felt a little run down. Massage therapist was Cindy who told me to strip off and get on the bed.

Cindy was probably about early to mid forties. Fairly average looking lady - not ugly but not attractive either, around 5'4 in height.

Massage was relaxing and decent but not quite hard enough for my liking despite asking for it to be harder and wouldn't qualify as deep tissue. She was thorough, working all parts of my body. She also did some hot stone massage for me too. Later asked me to turn over with all massage done with my genitals covered. No sensual touches at all.

After massage was done she pointed at my penis and asked if I wanted it massaged and asked for £30. I managed to haggle her down to £20. Technique was good and I came quite quickly.

Into the bathroom for a shower. There was a big bucket in the shower for some reason, which was in the way. Was given a bottle of water and paid extra to Cindy before leaving.

Summary: I'll rate this a neutral. The massage was decent but could have been better. Also it's a bit pricey compared to other places in Cardiff.

Looking at their online advertising, you can get Thai hot oil massage for £50, but others are all at least 55 for an hour. Looking back at my reviews , I saw Cindy/Sindy for 50 last March. Haven't managed to see her since then, but have seen Kim for 50. Neither time have I specified any particular massage. I think Thai places generally put up their prices post COVID.

What places in Cardiff can you currently get 1 hour massage under £50?

Looking on Gumtree, there's a few shops.
Lamphai - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £45
Refresh - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £45
Thai Beauty Massage - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £45

There's a few who look like independents:
Lin - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £40
Sue - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £45
Na - External Link/Members Only - 1 hour £45

I'd say Na was the best out of that lot, nice lady, good massage and I believe only £20 if you want happy ending

So is Refresh now Palmy as per the link? Or is this somewhere new, not on Mr. Clutch premises? (possibly with easier parking)

It's Refresh, same premises.

Just reading the refresh advert and they claim to be "qualified Thai massage therapist".
Pretty sure none of them are qualified as is the case in a lot of places.  Ask to see a certificate to prove it

Not sure a certificate has much value!  Having said that, last time I visited Mali, in December, she gave me a very competent massage and managed to free up a locked shoulder I've had for a while.  Brought tears to my eyes, only relieved by the sight of her sweet bum sliding up and down my ... !

Ah .. the "Wat Po" school of massaging.. well known 1 day course in Bangkok.. and the forever photocopied certificate.. 🙄🙄

So are Mali and neena qualified?

Who knows I just answered a post, I'm not a massage  qualification expert!
Why not go and try for youeself!

But in reality are many of them really qualified!
