Advice re sexual health/avoiding STIs

Hi

I am new to this and would be more adventurous if not for ignorance about sexual health, good pracise and how to avoid STIs. 
Is there anywhere one of you can recommend for good, simple english, discrete (i.e. not my GP) advice?

Are you saying during your almost 18 months of membership you haven't notice any threads on the subject of STIs.    

However all the information you need is here, ↓  we don't need it repeating on yet another thread.

Also the STI clinic. They won't speak to your GP without your permission
