I just walked through the door of Thai Aroma and immediately booked a 90 minute massage for £90 with Charlie, who I think is the owner.
I was shown into the fairly small room where she left me, asking me to strip down to underwear. It was a conventional couch, not one of those large massage table that some Thai places use. Face down she started on a really thorough massage. Charlie clearly knows her stuff and while 'enjoyable' might not be the right word for some of the painful pressure she applied it certainly all felt like it was doing good. Everything was done with professional decorum with a sheet covering my body except the part being worked on. There were no hints of extras and it would've been inappropriate to ask. When I was on my back I did get erect at one stage, which she probably noticed under the sheet but there was no comment or encouragement.
When you think how much you have to pay for simple hand relief, a skilled legit' massage from a pleasant woman who is working pretty hard for 90 minutes, seems like good VFM. I think an hour's massage would've been £60. Going in with no expectation of extras I wasn't disappointed and if ever I again find myself in BSE with time on my hands, I would happily return.
