Yes it is, although it will take a lot of tries to get a confirmed booking unless you speak Polish, or get help from a local. Best chance is to do the groundwork before you get there, and if you have to do "in situ" try to get a local SIM and use Google Translate.

Many of them lie about knowing English, not sure why they have it on the profile. Also very few use messenger apps, you'll need to have WhatsApp, Viber and Telegram installed to get the widest chances of contacting via messenger app.

Try to do as much recon as possible beforehand, and you'll be able to arrange something.

I know a local guy that can help with calls if you bung him a few quid, which might be worth it if you're staying for a week or two, just for a couple of days, you should be able to arrange things yourself given enough attempts.

Don't be discouraged, it'll take some effort, but the punts are usually pretty decent.

I don't really follow, a SIM is a SIM, any standard micro SIM will fit in modern phones unless they are e-SIM only.
