His choice of replacement as UKE admin nearly killed that site off, and I've often wondered if that was his aim: to make sure the sites didn't survive his exit. Some of the changes he made to UKP before jumping ship seem to support that idea.

You are not trusted on here, that is a fact, NIK may have trusted you when he started the site but I doubt very much OldAdmin trusted you as much as you would like to think.

I too came to this thread because I saw he’d been banned on another thread. I know I’m opinionated but he has always given me the absolute heebie-jeebies. He clearly has a lot of issues and is very socially awkward. Egotism and narcissism are likely, he’s certainly neuro-divergent.

We all have our quirks and personalities but it’s how you manage them that’s vital. I could speculate on exactly the type of person Anth is and I’d put a lot of money on me being spot on but this isn’t a character assassination. However, I sincerely hope he has people in his life that can guide him and look out for him, as I truly believe he could unravel in the most spectacular manner. His complete lack of self awareness is astounding.

I was in a similar position regarding Anth & his welfare / state of mind - I had hoped his return to the forum would herald a new Anth with a new mindset (after his hiatus) - sadly, I was wrong, massively wrong  If anything, I'm really sad to say, he came back even worse........

Don't know the lad. As someone who is an occasional visitor (a bit less so these days with reduced punting), I was aware of him and his name made me recall he attracted drama. Either way, hope he has someone out there in the real world to keep an eye on him.
Reading the messages he shared, I think there's also a simple distinction to be made.
"Go and look at the reviews" doesn't need to be responded to with "oh yeah, I'm really popular on there, too". A "what's that? I'll take a look" could have really helped reduce any chances of any of this happening. That and not using your name when booking.
