No, it is more fundamental than that Anth.
There is a dearth of young British women becoming prostitutes.
Many reasons why, but here's a few for starters in no particular order:
The decline in numbers of traditional parlours/saunas, with Asian business taking that market sector
The rise in numbers of cheap foreigners undercutting the markets
The increased connections between drug distribution gangs and prostitution: both are just distribution and service networks which share criminal management skills
The parlours that do exist have pretty much become a closed shop, only hiring their aging mates (hence the SAAFE "quiet" complaints)
Onlyfans, Instagram and suchlike. Why fuck when you can make more selling photos and sweaty knickers?
Camera/video services. (Agreed, most are overseas, but there's enough UK girls to be noticeable.)
But underlying it all is a simple fact: over the last 30 years or so massive advances have been made in female education in the UK. Girls are no longer expected to leave school at 16, work in a shop, get pregnant and get married to a wifebeater. Girls nowadays have a reasonable expectation of a good education, attending University, and getting real professional work in a real industry. There simply isn't the pool of potential teenage sex workers there any more. The ones who do fall into sex work are predominantly either those who've gone down the drug dependency route and need the cash to pay off debts (as I said, prostitution and drugs gangs are inextricably linked), or those who've been suckered into the business by the fake loverboy routine.
