External Link/Members OnlyAfter years of neutral to negative experiences I'd all but given up punting this year. But for a summer treat I thought I'd try Ashley Downs as she was local to me for the night and being British and a porn star with a lot of positive reviews on here I thought it would be fun.
Booked for a 9pm meeting at the hotel she was staying at. I got there 25 minutes early and text her to say I was there and ready when she is.
5 minutes before the meeting time (9pm) she messages me to say she'll be a few minutes getting her lingerie on. She still hasn't given me her room number but I decide to walk to the hotel entrance so I can go straight in once she does as I'm parked a minute or two away. However once outside the hotel I find I can't get a signal or wifi on my phone so I have to walk back to the car. In this time she messages me asking why my phone is off and she assumes I've left. She then blocks me. This is all at 8:59pm so not even at the time I'm supposed to be in the room. I respond to her a couple of minutes later when I have a signal again but find she's blocked me so the messages don't go through.
Now I know it's not her fault my phone couldn't get a signal at the hotel entrance but she barely gave me a couple of minutes to respond before instantly blocking me. Blocking me one minute before the booking was even supposed to begin! Seemed a very impatient over reaction. Did save me £120 though so in some ways it was a good thing. Maybe a sign I shouldn't bother trying to punt again.
I then of course had to endure the seemingly endless road closures down the A14 on my way home.
