Encore Hotel Gateshead, Guest friendly?

Any info on this hotel guys? Like is it guest friendly?  Need to pass anyone to get to the lifts etc?

All info welcome as are recommendations of other places to enjoy our hobby in Gateshead or Newcastle.

Its been a while sinse I had fun in that hotel but all was fine you can use the lift to get to the rooms without passing reception. and no room card needed, if I remember the lift is to the right of reception, its normally busy so you can move about without looking suspicious

The Hotel has had a name change sinse I visited last so could be under new management but I would think the above mentioned will be the same, have fun

This venue is exactly as johnr1 said it was.  No issues getting past reception whatsoever.

Had a wee accident on the way home and broke a collarbone (not related though!).

Thats Great and hope you had fun, its a nice easy going area and you can hve a pint later along the quayside and reminisce 

hope the collarbone does not give to much trouble but sounds nasty
