I think you are over analysing it.  Just accept her word and go forward. You seem to be suspicious of her and that's no way to have a relationship.

I think asking punters, whose experience of anal may mainly be with service providers who offer the service, will probably be of limited value.

There's only blood if you break skin (which if you are having anal safety should never happen) and other mess is associated with not douching well, or alternatively being about to have a poo (ironically the best time to have anal with little mess is right after a reasonably solid poo - as long as it was complete).
