+3-  it is beyond tedious to find "too expensive" comments on every "expensive" review.  it may be too expensive for you, but it obvsly wasn't too expensive for the OP (unless he has said so in his review).   I have absolutely no interest whatsoever that the SP under review would be too expensive for someone who has not seen her.  That really is wall-banging stuff.

Thanks for stepping in as usual Daviemac, just an idea if that's cool, would be great if there was a rule against condemnation of others spending, maybe allowing only personal comments on price.

Personally I know these comments may come if I post reviews above a price band, and will just deal with them. However looking through the no price limits thread you'll see plenty of comments saying 'if you need info let me know, don't want to deal with the price comments'.

I get it may seem trivial as it only affects a privileged minority of punters, but really does discourage a fair few members who have intel and would otherwise happily share. Just a suggestion that I think may benefit the forum, rather than having to constantly retort to these sorts of comments.

Really appreciate that mate, I understand about the censorship balance. I think that'd be encouraging/comforting to to a fair few (including myself), plus those just tired of reading/replying to the comments. Agreed a full-ban is likely way too severe and counter-productive to maximising reviews.

2 week ban would likely nip it in the bud.
