Does anyone have any tips for parking when visiting the well known flats next to the Hilton hotel? I parked in the Hilton car park last time and had to go to reception to have my ticket stamped. All tho she let me park for free I was sure she knew what I was there for  :unknown: so been put off any future visits.

I’m travelling from south so Google maps is telling me I have to drive over the Tyne bridge then double back to get to that car park? Is that correct?

No, heading north before you reach the Tyne Bridge bear right for Gateshead Quays and head for the Sage and turn left and left again as on the map below.

When you come out of the carpark you have to go back the way you came, it's no entry at the top of Church St onto the Tyne Bridge.

Edit

Once parked walk up the bank and cross over and where you want to be is just there.

I usually park at Tescos or next to the old town hall.  Tesco’s is free if you spend a certain amount of money.

I was going to suggest Tesco as well. You get 30 mins free, then up to 3 hours if you spend £5 in store.
