£200 for me, a big improvement. Two prizes of £100, also rare for me.
If you have £50K, then you could win 2 prizes a month.
They've changed the odds to 1 in 21,000. They're also increasing the number of £100,000 prizes up to 90 from 77. If you have £50K, then you could win 2 prizes a month.
At the expense of the £25 prizes; number will fall from 1.7 million to 1.06 million in September.Presumably, therefore, the actual number of prizes will fall. Disappointing for holders with a smallish number of bonds.

If that's newer than the one I posted then it's only good news. Less £25 prizes but more prizes in all the higher amounts (except £1 million) and 269k more prizes overall.
It's from Martin Lewis. Not sure why both NS&I and Martin have "estimated number of prizes". Shouldn't they know for sure how many prizes of different values will be issued?
Everyone has the same odds of winning.
Obviously. But if the number of £25 prizes is substantially reduced then the small holder is increasingly likely to draw a complete blank in a single month whilst the big holder is likely to win something although a fewer actual number.
There are more prizes in the draw so every bond has an increased chance of winning.
And someone with £5 won £50,000£50 won £100,000£25 won £100,000They'll be some parties tonight
Winning numbers are published tomorrow, 2nd September
No, the big winners are announced today. The others are available today
So how much have you won this month ?
Premium Bonds winning numbers - September 2023 External Link/Members OnlySomeone with £8000 of bonds has won £1M!!!And someone with £800 worth has won £10,000None of them are me 😭
Won £175 this month.
Won nothing on the full holding, that makes only £150 won in the last 3 months, utter crap.
National Savings are offering a one year fixed rate bond at 6.2%. On £50k that would give you over £3k interest.
Though effectively £1.8k if you're in the 40% tax band, ie 3.72% . The average return on premium bonds is now 4% and is untaxed. . But obviously you need luck on your side whereas the return on the bond is certain.
Those odds don't look right - how can it be as low as 1 in 2089 for people (and I suspect there are a million of them) who have the full amount invested?
Ther are wrong, 000 missing, chance of winning million with £50k holding is 2 million to one.
I checked with the postman this morning. He didn't have a £1M cheque for me. He is going to check at the depot for me. Maybe tomorrow
Why bother the Postman, just have it set up so they pay it directly into whichever account you want. Check on the results app on the 4th of the month and bingo ! Or whatever one might exclaim at the time.If it comes by post(why would ya ) it usually arrives towards the end of the month = snail mail
£325
From just £36 per year
