Personally I’ve embraced technology and gone about it a different route and it’s one I would recommend to my fellow punters who have a smart phone. Many apps out there that give you a second number within the app so you install an app, buy a number (typically £5/6 a month) and with that you get calls, texts all included for free so no topping up etc. and as it’s a app just turn notifications off and hide the app from Home Screen. That way unless you know about the app on the phone you won’t see or hear it.

I advocate an OLD smart phone as a punting phone. I have a graveyard of old phones kicking about. They are out the way but sit around my office. Carrying a second burner phone  24*7 is problematic I agree. Best it stays in the same place. If it's found in my car for example that would be harder to explain
