Author Topic: Vortioxetine - Anti depressant, anyone on here take them.  (Read 689 times)

Does anyone on here have these prescribed? I've been on them over two years, I was prescribed these as other anti depressants were causing erection issues and these seem to work. However over a period of time I've started to struggle to ejaculate and noticed that some side of the side effects of the medication are delayed or no ejaculation. Does anyone have any experience of this, I've no issue talking to my GP about it but getting to see a quack is a feat in itself.

I dont know but if i were you i'd pester the Doc's surgery to get an appoinment! This may not be that simple to answer as I expect we'd need to know what if any other drugs you were taking as sometimes the one can affect the other and in more ways than one!

GP's for you Sir!..

Yes you need to consult with your GP. Only they will know your full medical history including depressive disorder. This could probably be dealt with via phone consultation ... certainly initially at least.

Vortioxetine is considered one of the SSRI's least likely to result in sexual dysfunction, but that doesn't mean it won't.

It's a balancing act with antidepressant therapy. Good luck.
