Totally, what's the point in having a booking system if it just ends up as first come, first served? 

A girl at a parlour once told me that they take punters who turn up without a booking even though it clashes with a pre-booked appointment, because some guys don't turn up for their appointments - in that case the girl would be sat around doing nothing.

But if a parlour agrees to take bookings, they should honour them.  If they're worried about guys not turning up, they shouldn't  offer a booking system! Simples

They should only give bookings out to members. Membership should be free but if you don’t turn up to your booking or cancel it within a certain time period then it should be noted and go against you when you try to book on another occasion. That would clear it up

Yeah I've been told the same & I can imagine they get a lot of timewasters but they should at least wait until the actual time of the booking  to see if the punter is gonna turn up before giving the booking away to someone else.

Yes fair point about at least waiting until time of booking.  Just tell the punter who turned up a few minutes earlier to wait and see if the pre-booked chap turns up.
