No. Mainly because this is a "extracurricular" activity not because I'm bothered about speaking to the police. I would be straight down the station to make a statement otherwise.

If you chose to report it, and explained your own circumstances, I think that the police would deal with it appropriately and sensitively. They are just interested in catching people who commit crimes like this, I am sure.
As has already been said, the kinds of people who carry out these nasty crimes rely solely upon the victims to walk away and not report it, which then in turn allows them to continue offending. And often when people get away with this type of crime, their offending tends to escalate.
I completely understand that you must feel conflicted, but you have been a victim of a nasty and vicious crime which requires investigation. The perpetrators of this crime need to be caught and dealt with, before they commit a more serious crime.
For this reason, I would encourage you to find the determination to report this crime to the police.
