Hi Guys

I am desperate here and hoping someone can help.  I had a look at AW on my iPhone 5 earlier and to my horror I have found I now have an "AW" app as big as you like on my phone.  Tried everything to get rid of it but no joy - anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

It's not an 'app' it's just a website enabled for iphone.

Go to your settings, Safari, and select clear cookies and data. That resets all your browsing for you.

Don't panic.

If you actually have an AW app with icon on your main screen - touch app icon and keep finger pressed down on it. A cross should appear and all your apps should start shaking. Press the cross and it will ask do you want to delete aw etc etc. confirm and it's gone. Apologies if that's granny and eggs but that's how I get rid of unwanted apps

Apps, in the main, are very difficult to get rid of. At the very least they're always associated with your apple ID.

They get saved to your iTunes which then re-installs them on your phone. Pain in the arse.

As Leedsman has pointed out, it's not an App. It's a homescreen shortcut, also know as a "web app". There is no AW app in Apples App Store, so it is not associated with your Apple ID.

Do as Frank says - press an hold it until it wiggles, then tap the X to delete it.

And next time, don't press the prompt to save it as a shorcut on your iPhone. It doesn't automatically save itself there - you have to tap the prompt to get it to.
