Fabulous composer of popular music and a man who lived a pretty full life. I particularly enjoyed his album with Elvis Costello 'Painted from Memory'. I'm also a fan of the Dutch singer Trijntje Oosterhuis who released two albums of his popular songs which in my view are both very good. Bacharach's composition skills and style are much cleverer than they might first appear. I particularly like how he uses rhythm
