It's a hard to quote without context without it sounding misogynistic, I've managed to avoid his shenangians since he made the news a couple months ago about him getting banned. A podcast just popped up on my YT feed over the holiday period and I gave him a watch with extreme skepticism. Not sure if I can link some YT content, but most of it came from this External Link/Members Only (this is just a snippet).

That video clip is exactly what I was talking about when I said Tate and other “masculinity gurus” go on about peddling false dichotomies. They seem to have this black and white view of life especially relationships between men and women. Relationships are never black and white, they come in a huge range of grey tones.
Let me put it another way, let’s say we argue in football terms. Strikers are better and don’t need defenders to win a match. Defenders will say excuse me a moment we don’t need strikers as we can do most of what you do and we are better at playing football. You see the fallacy? I'm stating the obvious here but in order to be efficient and effective we need them all to behave as a team with all their strengths put together to counteract their weaknesses.
Now, it would be OK to have those kind of discussions as long as people don’t take these arguments seriously and don’t add their own prejudices into their “logic”. Yes physically men and women are different; yes we have different strengths and weaknesses, so bloody what!
To a young impressionable mind (teenage pubescent boys) with very little life experience those videos will appear amazing as true and proof that women need men, especially strong “alpha males” who would defend the woman if someone breaks into their homes (cue question from the blonde woman on the video).
The message that Tate sends is that women are weak, either foolish and unsophisticated attracted only to rich, fit, successful men, or as treacherous ‘bitches’ out to ruin your life and break your heart.
To someone with more life experience these kind of arguments are just nonsense. Anyone who has had long term relationships with women would know that women are anything but weak and that relationships work better when we complement each other rather than one imposing him/herself over the other.
Although I don’t usually like to use the term toxic masculinity (as it can be overused by people to describe any male they don’t like) I think Andrew Tate is the prime example of one. His ideas can be very dangerous for young boys (and especially for girls at the receiving end) who are looking to find a path in life. Add that the pervasiveness of online porn they will get a very warped idea of men-women relationships.
Now I don’t want to sound moralistic or pontificating, I do enjoy a bit of porn, but I’m old enough to know that porn is not real life. Not sure I needed to explain this but there you go.
