As the article says less brothels which they knew where they were and could check on the girls and facilities to make sure nobody was being coerced etc.
Yet they made sure well run decent places like Sandys got shut down

Factually naive and incorrect report.
While traditional massage parlours have declined, the last few years has brought a significant increase in ALL Chinese sex work activity, both parlours and popups. The authorities have recognised the problem for years, I'm surprised it's suddenly appeared in the press now. GMP must want to highlight the issue for a reason. Scare or warning? Either way I'd be inclined to give the Chinese a miss for now

Loved Sandy's at Northenden in its days. Had some great girls there. Able to choose from the photos on the wall who you wanted. Always stopped off there on match day enroute to OT.
