Didn't really have her down as fanciable as such but insofar as the writers were allowed to suggest I'm sure her real life equivalent would be game for a fuck with the likes of Spike in those holiday camps.
Nostalgia was obviously the order of the day in the 80s, the recipe being set by Dad's Army the decade before. I was actually pondering this earlier as My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 was on earlier (the missus loves that shit) and I read the male lead was first on screen in The Wonder Years. For the same elapsed timeframe the equivalent comedy drama now would be set in 2002, I can't really think what that would involve.
