A quick note on recent experiences in Hamburg that might be useful for some of us degenerates.

TL:DR It wasnt the weekend, so might have been worse than the weekend. Hamburg is a cool city with plenty to do, much more so than Frankfurt, but its no Berlin. However, its a good laugh and you can get your noodle wet...

However, for me an advantage over Berlin is the feel and action of a proper oldschool red light disrtict around the Reeperbahn. Thats were all of my experiences are drawn from.

FKKS:

Didnt visit them. Not the best reviewed and wanted to keep some powder dry for a fourth-coming artemis trip.

Strip clubs:

Plenty of them. All a scam. €6 for a beer, but €80 to even see the girl move. SIS show might be better but it was closed.

Street girls:

Mainly German, mainly FAF, and not exactly a "scam". They will say €60 for 30 minutes, and they have purpose built buildings to take you into with small rooms for the action, akin to a Soho walk up. However, once there they will explain the 60 is for a glorified rub and tug, and a fuck is likely to go around 100-200 euros. Clearly not worth it, unless you think it is. For the sake of posterity, I endured a quite good handjob from a lovely Austrian spinner just for the experience and because she did not seem totally like hardnosed scammer. Turned out to be most enjoyable.  Would I return? To her, yes, but it would cost mega bucks.

Windows:

Herbertstraße has girls in windows. Again, mainly German, and some real lookers. Same trick as above, £60 for 30 but basically a rub and tug, full service will go 100 plus. Worth it? I did not partake but i did not get the best vibe and it felt like a total scam.

Laufhaus/walk up brothels:

Two of these on the Reeper - Pink Palace and Paradise Point of Sex. Very different so will cover seperately.

Point of:

Luxurious looking, dark colors, moroccan lamps. Fit girls, but very few both day and night. I had a decent punt with a plastic fantastic Romanian with a fake ass. She was good, for a €50 quickie wasnt bad.

Pink Palace:

Austere, functional, cold decor, bright lights. Proper German low end walk up. Usual smattering of Romanians with a couple of black girls and germans thrown in. €50 for a quickie. Had a good BJ from a German girl.

HOWEVER I have punted in four of five German cities, and one thing that stuck out in Hamburg was the "branding" type pimp tatoos on a number of the German girls where they had guys names tatooed on them - highlights included "Robert" "Big Johns Bitch" and "Hamid" repeatedly stamped on a girl, including on her face around the temple area. This is obviously really off putting and perhaps this port city, as many around the world do, has a dark side with this kind of thing I know nothing about.

Would I return? Probably not. Frankfurt might not have the fun and general cool vibe but the level of Sleaze and the two stonking FKKs would swing it for me, or Berlin which is infinitely more fun, and has the jewel in the crown - Artemis.

So ... the area is seedy.  The strip clubs are clip joints.  The street girls and Herbertstraße escorts say one price but charge another.  The Brothels are OK, but are broadly like Soho walk-ups not proper Eros clubs like Frankfurt.

For me Hamburg is all about the small FKK clubs near-by.  And the live music. And there is one more expensive strip club (Dollhouse) that is OK (up the road by the Beatles statues). Like Spearmint in the UK sort of.

I'll go back for the museum, the music and the FKK only. Not for the shitty Reeperbahn.

I walked along the Reeperbahn and some side street yesterday afternoon. What a grubby, seedy and depressing experience it was. Lots of tramps sleeping on th3 streets and other low life who were either drunk or out of it on drugs. In the end was happy to get away from it. Didn’t spend any money and won’t be back.

Yea you can have some decent P&Ds in those places I had a couple.

For me as some have commented Hamburg is worth a visit without punting, and while the city centre options are over priced and average its nice to have readily available options

I will have to check the FKK scene next time
