I know this is from Ireland but it might concern many of us, who may not right now look at the overseas section. I just received this message from E-I (Escorts-Ireland): I cannot make up my mind if I should respond or not.

<<This is a one off email to let you know about an important anonymous online survey of escort clients being conducted by Dr Susann Huschke of Queen's University Belfast. We would ask you to please give a few minutes of your time to complete this survey:

Tired of myths about clients? Help us understand the reality, fill in the anonymous survey at the following link: External Link/Members Only

Dr Sussan Huschke can be contacted by email at [email protected]. She is also seeking to interview clients in person and by telephone, if any clients feel able to do this. All the clients who have done this so far have reported back that she is a very nice and it has been a positive experience.

Please help with this important research.
Thank you for your time,

Unless you are being paid don't get involved, "journo's" are parasites expecting to be  paid but not wanting to pay others for the story / facts

Hey HP,

The names of the researchers/doctors seem to check out; my understanding is that the ethics involved in this type of research make it very unlikely that the anonymity of the respondents would be compromised......

I'm not sure how other punters feel but I would be happy to contribute to this research.....

 Thanks :hi:

It seems that they are mainly but not wholly interested in Northern Ireland. But from the first page of Survey Monkey it looks like there is a survey for 'sellers' as well as buyers.

I had to laugh as it is in many languages for our 'guest workers'.

Having never been to N Ireland I have an excuse to leave it alone. I was only in the Republic.

Actually she sounds to be quite a level headed person and at the start of the year did a presentation to the Northern Irish Justice Committee on the sex industry and trafficking - and pulled apart many of the anti prostitution campaigners arguments for being biased - as did her colleague as well. This also included pulling apart other DR's studies which have been used by the anti campaigners out of context - including the anti's bias towards street workers and ignoring the internet side all together!!

Here's the you tube clip - she starts speaking about 21 mins in and makes some valid points in the first few mins of speaking, which is as far as I have got so far....

Offline LanceVance

I  have had to use surveymonkey before in personal and professional settings, and it is reliable with no issues of leaks.

Seems legit External Link/Members Only. doing the survey now.

She's a legit researcher working in a legit university. Research ethics in British universities for research involving human participants, particularly in sensitive research such as this, is largely robust. The principles of anonymity and confidentiality are sacrosanct.

Offline shagbambi

Also filled in the survey.  Its possibly one of the few ways to get a client's perspective across.

Survey complete. Criminalising clients won't make any difference. There are ways round any laws

Yes absolutely.  You don't have to give any personal details to do the questionnaire anyway.

Cheers HP,will do it later when I get a few minutes. Can't really keep going on about how it's misrepresented in the media & surveys if legit punters don't get involved.
