I tried a couple of these sites a few years ago and got nowhere. I think if you live in or near a large conurbation or are willing/able to travel you might have some success. From what I gathered it was more wishful thinking from many, that never amounted to much. It usually costs to reply to ads or place your own. I did get quite a way towards meeting a woman about 20 miles away but I think her OH found out about her little hobby.
