Author Topic: Punting Sim  (Read 1589 times)

Hi everyone,

I've been out of the game for a little while and my punting SIM has expired.

Was wondering which sims/contracts people opt for when going for a punting phone and if there are any recommendations or if you just grab any pay as you go.

Thanks in advance!

I just use 1p Mobile. I don't use enough data to warrant a second proper contact on top of my normal one, so it keeps the costs down a bit. It's bad enough the amount of money I spend on sex, without bleeding out an extra tenner a month on the punting phone too.  :D

Haha this is an expensive hobby before phones!

Thanks, I'd never heard of that provider before but sounds up my street. Can you buy it from the shops or would I have to order it online? (Would rather avoid addresses etc)

Tesco pay as you go, £10 gets triple credit so I’ve plenty for the months then the tenner I’ve paid for usually last another month or so

Not 100% sure, but I don't remember seeing it in shops, so it might be online only. Worth a look though.

Don't you have to give your name and address when registering a new sim anyway? I thought I remembered that from last time, it's been a while though.

Yes Tesco PAYG is without doubt completely hassle free.

Just buy with cash, load with cash and you’re all set  :hi:

Consider also Hushed.  Secret number without needing a second phone.

I used this new number to sign up for Telegram also.

I use Asda PAYG top it up lasts 6 months

Offline Moneyshow

Offer with Lebrara. 1p a month for 6 months and then is £6.49. Mad that its unlimited text mins and 12 gb of data. Rolling monthly contract as well

1P Mobile. Think it costs me around £30 upfront and lasts a year.

I use hushed, which I find useful as it can be hidden in a secure folder on my phone, so no possibility of a "spare" phone being found. Keeps everything in one place, but can be a bit more pricey, in particular if a girl sends a load of texts in reply.

I also have an Asda SIM card, but be aware their pricing is going up later in the month and not just by a little bit:

I’d agree with others on the Tesco Mobile recommendation.

Also if you need a dedicated handset, Tesco sell the Nokia 110 for £25 which includes a £10 top up voucher, which also triggers the bonus £10 top up. It’s not a smart phone so no WhatsApp but fine for calls and texts, can’t go wrong at that price.
