Key card if I remember rightly I personally prefer the St James but that’s because I like the four poster bed and big jacuzzi in the bathroom to play in

I have not used it for many years, well pre Covid, so could have changed. In those days it was fairly relaxed and generally quite busy so you blended in. Do not remember needing card for lift but may be wrong on that.

You don't need a key pass in Derby. Chain hotels tend to be consistent.

You're right.

There was no key card needed when I last visited in December
You can look around the lobby area via Google Maps

No key card, just walk through the front doors and to the left of reception is the lifts. Can go straight up. No issues with staff, although the last 3 times I've been housekeeping have been cleaning rooms on the same floor.

Definitely no key card. Over the years have seen escorts here with no problems.

Absolutely fine hotel for punting. No key card and easy access.

It's a good hotel for punting - busy enough that no one pays you any attention - but parking is crap and there's always a walk from the car. Don't know why girls use this place as opposed to somewhere like the Holiday Inn at Castle marina where there's plenty of free parking.

I have also stayed at this hotel and punted a couple of times, i can confirm it is as punter friendly as you could wish for, but as mentioned above, its a bit of a walk to the nearest car park.

I've punted a few touring girls at Jury's Inn, the ones I've seen seem to travel by train, so it's convenient for the station.

There's on-road parking for maybe 4 cars directly opposite, on the road that leads down to virgin active.  I've always got a spot there.

Printed a couple of times at jury's Inn..never had a problem going in or out.

It’s a perfect lunchtime punt for me, I work 5 minute walk away!
Easy to get in and out unnoticed, nice air conditioned rooms and showers with neutral shower gel.

I just wish more girls used it, not many seem to currently…
