Noticed this profile mid-July and looking at the photos thought, “Aye right!” but thought why not TOFTT and have a Plan B at the ready. I was fully expecting either bait & switch, a deposit or radio silence but to my surprise all seemed normal, with the usual EE texts.

Given the address of a known location by postcode only, sends a message to say I am nearby and then the arse (probably Sergei) responds with their bank details and a request for full payment, when received she’ll come down and get me. This hasn’t been previously mentioned.

The deposit scam V2, the full payment scam…

I’ve always wondered how the Amazon voucher scam works as well.

If I know the area well, I usually describe a building that isn’t there and ask if they are near the invented building.  So far they’ve always said yes and revealed themselves as a scam
