I did not have to pay a deposit, nor was I asked for one by Naomi nor would I have paid one: there is equal risk on both sides of the speculative  punter equation, so why underwrite one risk (punter no show, or punter is a problem) and not the other (cancel by SP, and SP is a problem)? My impression is Naomi was just looking to form an opinion on me before booking. That is fair. I would do the same. We talked for about 3-5 minutes on the phone as a screen. I was honestly polite, honest,  and respectful. So no deposit.
