going past receptions for hotel meets

Ok, so I thought it would be a good idea to set up a thread to share information on receptions.

We all hate having to go pasr receptions for hotel meets because 9 times out of 10 paranoia will kick in and leave you thinking... Shit they know I am here to bang a prossie!

So I thought it would be good for all of us to highlight what hotels we have been to and let others know where the reception is and more importantly the lift so you can stroll through confidently knowing where you are going!

I have been through various receptions and no one has batted an eye lid,i think you are worrying unecessarily,not everyone entering a hotel is there to bang a prossie just because you are!

I don't give a flying fuck what they think, and they really couldn't care less if you just act normally.

It might be just me but I don't think it's a good idea to post the names of hotels on forums which can be viewed by anybody, info like that is best kept to PM.

I always pretend to be on my phone (remember to switch it to silent first), glance at the receptionist and give her a good afternoon wave if she looks over. That way it is less likely that she will speak to you or ask if she can help you.
This also helps if you don't know where the lifts are, you can casually chat to no-one on your phone whilst you locate them.

Where you say we that doesnt include me, i have no problems walking past hotel receptions to get to a punt. Its none of their business what i am doing. The only problem i have ever had was in a small B&B where the owner was a nosy parker, medium to large hotels its unlikely though not impossible of course to have a problem with staff.

Like Pete i am often on my mobile as i walk past reception and dont look at them.

I'm more nervous going into the room, why does the cleaner always seem to be loitering outside the door? - or at a party last week the bloody maintenance man was outside the room with 4 of us guys walking in together #awkward!!

The Hilton and Holiday Inn at Bradford were pretty diligent.
I think WGs use these a lot so the staff were definitely on the look out.
Never had any problems in any other hotels.

Several times. Nothing better than a scantily dressed girl running along the corridor to let you in

Unfortunately yes. But as long as the WG tells me and we meet at an agreed spot its not too much of a problem.
