Author Topic: Cost of living crisis - is it good news or bad news for punters  (Read 2873 times)

We are now well and truly into a cycle of worsening living standards, rising prices and inflation, it will be interesting to see how this impacts the sexual services sector, will it result in a reduction in spend, I think at the lower end potentially as guys like myself who look for lower cost options feel the pinch I will reduce punting as fuel and every day essentials increase in cost, potentially the higher end won’t see the same impact, would we see SP’s reduce or raise prices if punter numbers reduce. Could we see an influx of new SP’s entering the industry to supplement income, would this drive down costs as more SP’s begin chasing fewer punters.

SP’s prices have increased too so I don’t think they will lower prices. I was talking to a WG yesterday who charges £50 for 30 minutes with her and she said she’d had 6 guys in 7 hours all taking 30 min slots. That’s £300 cash in 3 hours. She considered that a “poor day compared to normal but still good”. Of course all are different but the few I know well aren’t looking to lower prices at all

I am firmly of the view that over the last twenty years we have progressively got less and less  for our buck, and more and more cuts, despite more and more costs and expense and belt tightening. This is due in part to an ever increasing amount of things that cost the country money, that do not generate any income or contribute any wealth to it.

its because there were and still are a number of current and live threads on prices and along comes someone and instead of added to an existing one, thet start a new one.

here is a current one - that in itself was baout the 5th one on prices this year and as you can see Davie has already added into it another 2 or 3 that was started as new threads.  https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=335311.150

Why don't guys check to see if there is a current thread going before starting a new one. Just how many different threads on the same subject do we need?

The impression I get from the wg's perspective always reminds me of the last part of this short clip.

There is one very simple reason why taxes have and will rise, besides the consequences of war and weather. It is an aging population.

SP prices going up. Punters' disposable income going down. That's all there is to it.

I need all the youngens to keep paying lots of tax to help with my pensions, and  Thephoenix punting and benevolent fund.

It is extremely unlikely girls will ever lower their rates, so these kinds of threads are pointless. Yes, we all know the cost of living is going up and there is nothing we can do about it. If we can't afford to punt then we can't punt. It's that simple.

Perhaps there should be a cap on the number of threads about pricing, one seems good.
literally the most boring subject on the board currently

it is simple, if you can’t afford the rates then don’t punt or go for a Rom

Offline Bustydusty

Stick to the established good Sp’s who don’t charge exorbitant rates and fuck the newbies off who think they can charge £100 for 30 minutes of unknown service standard

Offline Aldebaran

I think there may be another, rather darker side to this than simply wondering about the effect on pricing.
The anti-prostitution brigade often rabbits on about huge numbers of girls being trafficked into sex work, or forced into it by poverty. The majority of the punters on this site, to their credit, would never knowingly go to a trafficked girl, and would probably report it if they suspected one, but this cost of living crisis may well push some unwilling women into sex work simply because they can't survive otherwise, single mothers with no support, or ones who for some reason can't find other work. The result may be a lot of unskilled, unhappy and resentful newcomers to the sex industry and a lot more ammunition for the anti sex trade campaigners.

What fucks me off, is that its the bone-idle and lazy that cost the country a fucking fortune. Add in that most of these SPs probably aren't paying taxes and may even be claiming benefits...

It is a system that allows abuse, people will abuse it, like they abuse the NHS, and other services.  :unknown:
Banned reason: Undesirable, previously banned, still attacking members, discussing UKP with SP, toxic personality, it’s a no from me!,

,

and of course none of us guys on here are trades people who say "that will be £500, but i'll take £450 for cash". And of course the rest of us who aren't trades people will reply "no, i will pay the £500 because i know you won't put all the £450 through your books"

Yea, right!!

Offline willie loman

those punters who own property, probably the majority, will have seen the value of their houses increase by 20% , so most punters should be feeling quite wealthy, and hence more inclined to punt.

True true, as discussed in the prices thread supply and demand, you have a choice whether to pay or not, there's many punters who will pay blindly whatever.

Losses through benefit fraud are miniscule in comparison the tax fraud and avoidance. The problem with this country is rent seeking, non domiciles, oligarchs, money laundering, property inflation and all the other stuff at the top that makes society dysfunctional. Women sell sex because it makes sense in a crazy world, where it's the best way of achieving income equality and freeing them from BS jobs on long hours for a mediocre lifestyle.
