I vaguely recognise what the first poster is referring to; when I came to Bristol first I tried out parlours for the first time and managed all of a week. There is one group in Bristol that did charge £70, the house got £40 and the girl £30. There was a £5 shift fee and the parlour 'cut' the day into two shifts so if you stayed all day the shift was £10. On top of the £10 there was a £10 'house fee' (I didn't ingratiate myself well by asking the Madame what the £40 was for if not for the house?).
This is very interesting to read, thanks for your posts.
The pricing structure you describe admittedly puts me off a little. It's easy to see which group of parlours you are referring to in Bristol, and though an infrequent visitor, two of these are the ones I exclusively go to. They have always seemed very professionally-run and spotlessly clean; the two other parlours I tried out of interest in Old Market just seemed like hideous places to have to live and work in, which made me uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I admit to believing that the masseuse herself would receive more of my payment.
At the parlour I go to more commonly, the ladies often talk quite bitterly about how quiet the work has been, and I find choosing one to go with slightly embarrassing. I have never received anything less than friendly and respectful service, though; I don't know what to think.
