Arranged 2 days before with a phone call , seemed very nice on the phone
Followed up with a text the next day to confirm and was given a postcode, and I said I would text at 8 to confirm, which I did
But no response , foolishly set off on an hour drive , no response on arrival either
Next day she texts to say she is available but no answer why she stood me up the day before
Couple of observations to save SPs wasting your time:
a) It's always best to
call to confirm before setting out, if you've not received a reply to a text.
I'd not get behind the wheel before doing one or the other.
b) Mobile phones at either end can be subject to network outages, and/or intermittent signals levels. Outside of major towns and cities, most networks are flakey. So texts might be sent to a queue and not delivered for hours or even the next day. Technology that we can't see fails, all the time. However, given the nature of her response the next day, that sounds highly unlikely in this case.
That said, it's not an excuse for her not offering an apology, or even a reason as to why she ghosted you the previous night, and didn't even try to contact you to confirm the booking on the night. Sounds like you were totally right to rate her negatively.
