I now look back on it and think myself quite lucky it could of been much worse so the morale of the story is just don't do it as its never worth it and before anyone tells me how stupid I was I already know

I have heard that urinating can flush bacteria out of the urethra temporarily, rendering a test less effective. So not urinating immediately before a test is more likely to give a useful result.

No i was not given eye drops, i even went to bristol eye clinic and they knew what it was before i told them, i showed them the antibiotics i had been given and they also gave me some form of gel to ease the pain untill the drugs took effect

I don't believe a word of this. We have a 'guy' who is claiming on a test with a 5% false negative (your result comes back clear but you have condition) that he had 2 false negatives, the second time his symptoms were so bad that he was oozing pus but yet a morning piss cleared it... Hmm,

Then we have the general duty of care. He is trying to convince us that he went to a doctor with a serious pain while trying to pass urine and the doctor only tested him for a limited number of STD's and then sent him home. Nonsense, while a burning sensation is a symptom of some STD's it's also a symptom of a number of other more serious non-sexual ailment all of which would have needed to be tested for immediately. As a general rule, you test the most likely then work out,  I don't know any doctor who when a patient presents symptoms as described and declares they had unprotected sex 2 weeks earlier would immediately rule out everything except a STD and keep testing you until a positive test came back..

Finally we have the "your in agony but come back tomorrow for a retest" nonsense, chlamydia test in men is normally done via a urine sample as is the easiest and least intrusive method which gives a good result. If your doctor was 100% sure you had it and wanted to retest he would have put a swab down your jap's eye, it would have been very uncomfortable for you but would have got the job done...

I guess one last thing, If I believe this C&B story and your doctor was 100% sure it was chlamydia, why didn't he start you an the treatment immediately? the side effects are minimal and their are even stories of various rock bands when coming off tour taking a cocktail of these sort of drugs to "clean themselves up" before coming home to the other half...

I don't know whether this is a guy trying to scare people off BB with escorts (a noble cause I'm sure) or a sp who's business is being ruined by Polish girls offering BB for extra £20 but I don't think this happened in the real world and if it did, you should complain to your local NHS trust as your care package fell well short of NICE guidelines.

I think he was hoping to get a load of sympathy -  and then name the girl.  I think everyone felt he was a wanker from the start and I'm glad others were able to rip his story to pieces in a technical way that I couldn't.
