So far touch wood, not really been ill with any cold viruses for the last 2 years.  I put this down to wearing a face mask, and keeping apart form other persons

But now with more people getting out and about, and more people not wearing a face mask, the cold virus is slowly spreading and infecting us

Seeming the virus is just as bad as covid-19, but without the most serious symptoms, and can just as long stay with us for around 3 weeks

Sore throat like sand paper, ever sore ribs, left so tired

Well it isn't as bad then is it  :unknown:

The thing is many people especially younger people get covid and have no ill effects whatsoever but at the other end of the scale you get seriously ill and die  :scare:

I've often heard the expression that "Nobody ever died from having a cold" and i've only had 1 in the last 6 or 7 years but used to get them ever 2 or 3 weeks as a kid.
What I do recall is that some did hit you and make you feel quite shitty for a few days and some were little more than a sniffle and minor inconvenience
Then again I always referred to them as colds and thought that I suffered from a very rare illness whereas apparently most people claimed they had flu  :dash:

Sorry but I don't see how having been in lockdown will have meant that the cold virus will have become worse and now affecting people more if that's what you are saying  :unknown: Besides there are over 200 different strains of the cold virus

I do think there is a massive potential for people to not actually know whether they are coming down with a cold / flu or covid though

wear a kn95, fpp2 or kf94, they will protect you to a reasonable degree

I had a sore throat and swollen glands last Friday so thought I had the super cold. I had no other symptoms, my head was clear etc so I assumed the worst was to come. My girlfriend normally stays with me at weekends and I told her not to as I was infections. Ended up pretty much fine on the Saturday, sore throat was there but much better, ended up reading down by the river and playing computer games I loved it (although of course I did miss seeing my GF).
